I received a few separate emails by literary agents saying that although my work looked very promising, due to the word length (149k), it would be almost impossible for a publisher to accept the work from a previously unpublished author.  Most first time writers seeking representation can't really go beyond 120k word max because it costs more to print each book and that's where the difficulty sets in.  Essentially, on the first work, I've decided that my best bet would be in self-publishing so I'm in the process of finding more information on that to get the first book out there on the market.  After that, I'll be a published author so it sho
